About our classroom

Mrs. Ochs: My name is Wendy Ochs. This is my fifth year teaching elementary school, and my 8th year of early childhood care. My husband was in the military, and as a military spouse I saw the special need for childcare. I accomplished childcare training through the Air Force and began a childcare business that quickly evolved into an Air Force certified pre-school with which I earned the “Provider of the Year” award for each year my pre-school was open. This is when I realized my love for teaching. My husband retired and we settled here in Enid where I immediately returned to college to acquire my early childhood certifications. After graduation I taught kindergarten at Garfield Elementary, and was pleased to be able to transfer to Glenwood to teach 2nd graders.
