Homework

We are off on another "short" week.  Your kiddo brought home their spelling homework tonight.  They write their words, using their spelling list, two times in pencil and then they can choose to write them in crayon, marker or pen two more times.

There will not be reading homework or reading logs this week due to the "short" week.   Your child still needs to be reading at least 15 minutes EVERY NIGHT!!!

Wednesday - Look for the fluency bag.

Thursday - Look for their textbook to read Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea for a comprehension grade.

Thanks for all you do to help with your child's education!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Comprehension Homework

Good Afternoon!!!

Please help your child remember to read their story for the week to you!  This story can be read together with your kiddo.  As they are reading try asking them about the Characters and where the story takes place.  Also, we began talking about what it means to "Check for Understanding"!  As they read, they need to ask themselves, "Do I know what I just read?"  See if they can answer who and what.  After they have read their story, please sign the slip and return back to school along with their textbook.

I think we are all feeling the tiredness of being back to school.  Thank you for all your patience as we get used to our routine.

Have a GREAT EVENING!
